Enjoy your time at the lodge
Relax and take it easy in the yard - in your hotel room or in one of the living rooms. Or enjoy your time outdoors, on one of our many verandas or seating areas. Watch the river thunder by or take a dip in it in the summer. During certain periods of the year you can also borrow one of our fire pans and enjoy the warmth of the flames. Firewood is available for purchase at reception.

Food and dining
Make time for a nice dinner in our restaurant. Our kitchen has a strong focus on homemade food made with local ingredients. Good food also includes good drinks. The drinks menu includes good wines as well as locally produced juices, mineral water and beer. In winter, we ask that you book a table in advance, while in the summer, our restaurant is open every day.
Sauna
Combine your hotel stay with a session in one of our saunas. We have 2 saunas at the lodge. The largest sauna has a capacity of 10 people and has large glass windows on the long side that provide a panoramic view of the Namsen. The smallest, the barrel sauna, has space for 4 people. Both saunas are located under the train bridge, with stairs directly from the saunas down to the river. Perfect for those who want to cool down.

Events and culture
Kulturhuset Kuben is located in the center of Grong (3 km south of Namsentunet) and has a rich cultural and cinema program: Kulturhuset Kuben | Forside.
Also check the activity calendar of Visit Namdalen (the local destination company). This is where all events, concerts, markets, festivals and anything else happening in the area, are gathered: https://visitnamdalen.com/arrangement/
Elvelangs Namsen
Elvelangs Namsen is a collection of local niche businesses located like pearls on a string along the Namsen River in Grong and Overhalla. They offer, among other things, a farm outlet with locally produced food, bakery products, farm-brewed beer, café service, handicrafts, a yarn shop, interior design and much more. We highly recommend taking a drive and visiting the various businesses. Check out their joint website: https://elvelangsnamsen.no. Also visit their joint Facebook page "Elvelangs Namsen" and their individual Facebook pages, as many of the opening hours and offers are published on Facebook.

Swimming in Høla
If you like swimming, we recommend a trip to Tømmeråshøla and Tømmeråsfossen, or “Høla” as we call it locally. A beautiful swimming spot for both young and old. If you have diving goggles or snorkeling equipment, you can also see and swim with the salmon.

Or if you prefer to head into the plains with a backpack and touring skis. This is the largest facility in the north of Trøndelag. They have 4 lifts with a total of 15 downhill options from easy to demanding downhills. Here you will also find your own terrain park with many elements, rails, bullet trails and jumps. Pilgrimage
From Namsentunet you can walk the northernmost pilgrimage route in Norway. Gløshaugkirka is the end point of the pilgrimage route to the north. New discoveries at Gløshaugen show that the former stave church that stood there can be dated back to 1155, and thus show even more clearly that the place has been an "Olavssete". Contact us and we will explain and show you the way, and can assist with transport one way by arrangement. We recommend starting the walk at Gløshaugen Church and then walking into the forest and ending at Namsentunet. A walk in easy forest terrain of approx. 1-3 hours.
