River Bank Fishing
Namsentunet has5 kilometers of exclusive fishing in Namsen and Sanddøla, a total of 10 km of fishing from both sides. Namsentunet has the beats Øvre Mediå and Nedre Mediå embankments in Namsen, as well as parts of the tributary river Sanddøla. The embankments have been cleared with paths and stairs down to the river. We also have gazebos with campfire sites, benches and tables. Firewood for campfires can be purchased at the yard.
Our embankments are ideal for fly fishermen, with holding pools, rapids, breaks and many exciting streams. A water level in Namsen of over 50 cubic meters means that we have relatively stable fishing all summer. Land guides can be obtained upon request.

River Boat Fishing
We offer harling fishing from our traditional wooden boats. This is a very effective fishing method, especially when the water level is high. Boat fishing requires a rower who can either be rented privately or through Namsentunet. Rowers must be booked in advance. Our rowers are very skilled, with many years of experience and know the river like the back of their hand.
The rower is helpful in providing the necessary things in the boat, such as a seat cushion, hoof, fishing rods and other fishing equipment. It is also possible to use your own equipment, if it is suitable for the purpose. In Namsen, the use of up to 3 rods at the same time is allowed. Good equipment from a boat is wobbler, lure and fly.
Fishing rules
Namsentunet allows fishing with wobblers, lures and flies from June 1-20. The rest of the season, only fly fishing is allowed.
Everyone who goes fishing in Norway must pay the annual state fishing fee. Everyone is also required to follow the Namsen River Basin regulations and is responsible for reading the rules. The rules and quotas can be found here:
